Who is the Tree Called SÍLE? emerged through more than a year of pedagogical work with the children and educators of Storyoga and a Douglas fir growing alongside their childcare centre. As they wondered about the tree’s name, history, language, and ways of communicating, the inquiry opened possibilities for noticing how children, trees, land, and community are already in relation—and how those relations might be lived otherwise.
