Rethinking Play in Early Childhood: A Focused Dialogue with Educators in Cowichan Valley. B.C.
June 17th, 2025
6:00-8:30 p.m. PT
This Early Childhood Pedagogist Program professional development focused dialogue invites early childhood education professionals into an engaging conversation about responsive curriculum-making practices.
What do we mean when we talk about play in early childhood education? And how might we begin to think about play differently? Join pedagogist Sadaf Soheilsayar for a follow-up conversation to the ECPN webinar Playing in the Anthropocene. Together, we’ll revisit ideas from the webinar and think about how play shows up in our work with children. What might play look like when it’s not about preparing for the future, but about being together, noticing the world around us, and imagining new possibilities?
Participants are encouraged to view the original webinar recording beforehand, available online at ecpn.ca/library after June 7. However, watching the webinar is not required to participate in the session.
