In part 1 of this conversation series, ECPN pedagogist Chelsea Hann and ECPN Director Veronica Pacini-Ketchabaw discuss the pedagogical processes involved in creating relations and curriculum in rural Northern British Columbia. The conversation highlighted the interrelated processes of pedagogical commitments, responsive relationality and situated curriculum making. They shared traces from a pedagogical project, in which a shared commitment to thinking relationally with land provoked the pedagogist, children, and educators to seek the ‘monsters’ of this place.

Presenter Bios: 

Veronica Pacini-Ketchabaw: ECPN Co-Director, is a Professor of Early Childhood Education in the Faculty of Education and Director of the Interdisciplinary Centre for Research in Curriculum at Western University in Ontario, Canada

Chelsea Hann: ECPN Community Pedagogist, has over a decade of experience working with children and families in elementary education and early childhood. Chelsea works as a pedagogist in five distinct communities in Northern BC
